Greeter Ministry
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love for one another
John 13:35
CCAV Greeters welcome visitors and members attending service. The desire of this ministry is to make all first time guests and members feel welcome. This includes but is not limited to warm greetings, assistance with doors, coats, directions to Sunday School classes or child care, sharing information about church activities, working with other ministries and a positive attitude at all times while working with guests, visitors and members. (John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love for one another)
We help the Pastor fulfill the vision God has given him by making those who come through the doors of church feel at home. Our responsibility is to help all who come to worship feel joy, sincerity, importance, peace, comfort, and most importantly welcome. It is a ministry of helps. (1Corinthians 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.)
The Word of God calls us ambassadors of the Most High God to His People (2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.) This is essential to understand as a Greeter, because we are the first person the visitors and members see when they enter the church doors.
We lovingly and sincerely extend ourselves as a ministry that desires to welcome every guest so they may feel the joy of the Lord upon entering our worship service. (1 Corinthians 8:3 But if any man love God, the same as known of Him.)
