Heritage Kids

Our purpose for Heritage Kids Kindergarten Readiness Ministry is to help prepare your child spiritually, socially, and academically as they grow and get ready to start Kindergarten. Our well qualified teachers are Jolene DeBrito, Kim Varela, and Monique Diaz. They are here to help parents and their children build a firm academic foundation as they begin school life. Our ministry’s goal is to create lifelong learners, critical listeners, accomplished speakers, accurate spellers, confident writers, as well as children that grow to know and accept our Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.

The Heritage Kids Ministry is for pre-kindergarten students only.
// The age of enrollment reflect that of the State of CA (kindergarten enrollment age requirements).  In order to enroll your child, he/she must be 5yrs of age by September 1st of their kindergarten enrollment year. What does that mean for your child? It means that your child would be eligible/enrolled and will start kindergarten at the beginning of the Apple Valley School District’s academic year once the Heritage Kids program is completed.
// Students that attend the ministry must possess independent bathroom habits
// In order for each child to reap the maximum benefit of learning, consistent attendance is a must.
// Each child is to bring his/her own snacks, either in a lunch box/sack with their name written on it.
Our Ministry will have a maximum of 20 students with 2 teachers.

Heritage Kids Readiness Ministry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00am – 12:00pm, September – May. We model our schedule based on the Apple Valley School District Academic Year. 
Our class schedule is as follows:
9:00am – 9:30am      |  Celebration Circle: Prayer, Flag, Calendar, Weather, Helpers, Share Time
9:30am – 9:50am      |  Academic Session 1
9:50am – 10:10am    |  Academic Session 1
10:10am – 11:00am  |  Bathroom Break / Snack / Recess
11:00am – 11:20am  |  Academic Session 2
11:20am – 11:40am  |  Academic Session 2
11:40am – 12:00pm  |  Celebration Circle: Bible Lesson, How’s My Day, Prayer
